Custom Framing and Matting services available, the frame featured here is made from scraps of mahogany that otherwise would have been thrown away, since they were inconsistent in grain color and would not have complimented the artwork I decided to spray the frame with black stain to obscure the grain color but accentuate the grain texture that mimics the swirling of the lake and night sky featured in the artwork, the goal was a thin frame that disappeared, matting was designed and cut by hand and eye,
